Andy King BA

Biography

After graduating from the University of Oxford with a BA in Mathematics, Andy was self-employed as a computer programmer carrying out work for several Oxford colleges and the NHS. He joined the Unit in May 1996 working half-time first for the TRH Trial and then the Hip Trial from October 1997. He has worked on the INIS trial since 2001 and the BOOST-II UK trial since 2006, and developed the 4Child and UKCP databases. In 2009 he became Senior Trials Programmer and in 2014 was appointed Head of Trials Programming, and is responsible for the IT management of the NPEU CTU's work, including the computing aspects of the design and conduct of NPEU CTU randomised controlled trials.
