New publication for Poppi investigators

Dr Caroline Hartley and the rest of the PIPA group have published an article validating the measure of infant nociceptive brain activity used in the Poppi trial. Validation of these approaches is important to ensure that nociceptive brain activity can be interpreted accurately, so effective pain relief measures can be developed for the infant population.

This publication has caused huge interest from the media – articles about the team (led by Dr Rebeccah Slater), and their work, have been published in the New Scientist and on IEEE Spectrum.

An interview with Dr Rebeccah Slater about the work of the group is also available on the International business times UK website.
