Listen2Baby Toolkit launched in seven NHS study sites

Published on Monday, 15 September 2025 Post

We are pleased to announce the launch of the evidence-informed, experience-based co-designed Listen2Baby Toolkit in our NHS study sites.

The Toolkit, developed to improve the safety and quality of intermittent auscultation (IA) practice and aimed at midwives and obstetricians, is currently hosted on NHS Futures and is currently only available to NHS Trusts involved in the study. Through the Toolkit, maternity teams are supported to review their current IA practice, identify strengths and gaps, and implement practical changes to promote safer, more consistent care.

Over the next six months, the Toolkit is being implemented across seven study sites in England and Wales, with the Listen2Baby team working closely with the sites to support roll-out and monitor implementation. This will allow the team to evaluate the feasibility, useability and accessibility of the resources ahead of a planned national launch, on a bespoke Listen2Baby Toolkit site, in May 2026.
