Ethnic inequities in childhood influenza vaccination coverage

NPEU researchers Claire X. Zhang, Claire Carson and Maria Quigley have a new paper published in Vaccine. The study examined ethnic inequities in the coverage of childhood influenza vaccination in England.
Using GP data for over 600,000 children born between 2013 and 2021, the research team found that influenza vaccination coverage for 2-3 years was low and varied by ethnicity. Most ethnic groups had lower vaccination coverage than White British children in all influenza seasons, with lowest coverage seen in Black Caribbean children.
