neoGASTRIC Trial Completes Recruitment: 7,428 Babies Enrolled

We are thrilled to announce that the neoGASTRIC Trial completed recruitment on Saturday, reaching an extraordinary 7,428 babies.

This exceeds our original recruitment target of 7,040 babies by nearly 400 participants, which is a remarkable achievement made possible by the dedication and commitment of families, clinical teams, and research staff across all participating sites.

With 7,428 babies enrolled, neoGASTRIC is now the largest individually randomised trial ever conducted in neonates anywhere in the world; a significant milestone for neonatal research.

We extend our sincere thanks to every family who took part, and to the nurses, doctors and research teams whose hard work has brought the trial to this important stage.
