Workstream 6 - Implementation study

Following development of the CSOR database and feedback model, a controlled before-after study will be conducted. Data will be collected from all pilot sites for a three-month period, after which the feedback model and dashboard will be implemented in four randomly selected sites. Outcomes data from the control and intervention sites will be compared before and after the implementation. It is likely, given the short data collection duration, and rare nature of the studied conditions and outcomes, that it may not be possible to detect differences between control and intervention sites with statistical significance. Therefore, we will also be undertaking a theory-driven process evaluation exercise, whereby interview will be undertaken with clinicians, parents, and managers to understand whether any changes in practice or attitude have arisen as a result of the implementation of CSOR.
