UKMidSS Steering Group vacancies

Due to the retirement a number of our Steering Group members, we are now seeking a senior midwife with significant research experience, a neonatologist, a lay member and two further senior midwives, one from Scotland and one from Wales, to join the multi-disciplinary UKMidSS Steering Group. The Steering Group meets three times a year (either face-to-face in Oxford or online) and provides overall strategic direction and governance for the programme, monitoring progress of ongoing studies and planning future studies.

Membership of the Steering Group is not remunerated, but travel expenses are paid and contributions to the group may be considered part of continuing professional development. Retired members of the Steering Group will be available for mentoring if necessary. Lay members receive payment for their time in preparing for and attending meetings, using NIHR rates. Travel and any other expenses (e.g. childcare costs) associated with attending meetings are also paid. Retired members of the Steering Group will be available for mentoring if necessary.
