Immersion in water for pain relief during labour may reduce the risk of intrapartum transfer in nulliparous women

A new Birthplace study published in BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth finds that immersion in water is associated with a significantly reduced risk of transfer in first time mothers and may reduce the risk of some interventions. Read the key findings and the published paper.
