MaatHRI: Safety of induction and augmentation of labour in pregnant women with anaemia

This prospective cohort study is examining the safety of inducing and augmenting labour in pregnant women with anaemia. Some women who have anaemia may need induction and/or augmentation during labour, but currently we do not know if this increases their risk of postpartum haemorrhage. This study will soon provide the evidence from a cohort of nearly 7000 pregnant women. Participant recruitment stared in October 2018 and we hope to complete the study by September 2022.
