Biography

Harindra is a senior research scientist in The National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit working on a collaborative project led by Marian Knightand Julian Knighton advancing personalised maternal healthcare using genomic-based approaches alongside epidemiological studies.

Prior to her current position, she worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Centre for Human Genetics of the Nuffield Department of Medicine,investigating the role of functional genomics play in extreme immunity, and previously at The School of Cancer Sciences of the University of Southamptonwhere she investigated the clinical utility of genetic and epigenetic biomarkers in treating Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL) patients entered into first-line chemotherapy and chemo-immunotherapy in UK CLL clinical trials. Harindra received the Open PhD Scholarship for Life Sciences from the University of Leicester and completed her PhD on epigenetics and the evolution of genomic imprinting in a social insect system at The Department of Genetics and Genome Biology, University of Leicester.
