At this virtual conference we will present the findings of the 7th MBRRACE-UK report of Saving Lives, Improving Mothers' Care: findings of the surveillance of maternal mortality in the UK 2016-18 and lessons learned to inform maternity care from the UK and Ireland Confidential Enquiries into Maternal Death and Morbidity 2016-2018.
The causes of maternal deaths covered in this report are deaths from:
- Sepsis
- Haemorrhage
- Neurological causes including epilepsy and stroke
- Anaesthesia and anaesthesia related care
- Indirect medical causes
We also conducted a morbidity enquiry and will present the findings of the review of care of women with pulmonary embolism who survived.
Given the current circumstances we are moving our annual MBRRACE-UK conferences to an on-line platform this year. The conference day will follow a similar format to our usual MBRRACE launch meetings but will allow you to access from your home or place of work, saving the need to travel. All you will need is a good Internet connection and PC, laptop or other device.
Conference registration will include access to the recordings of the sessions for up to one month after the live event so if you are unable to attend on the day you can view the presentations at a more convenient time.
