Dr Tuck Seng Cheng BSc, MPhil, PhD

Biography

Tuck Seng is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit (NPEU), working in a UK-India collaborative platform for maternal and perinatal health research (MaatHRI). His expertise lies in skilfully applying observational and Mendelian randomization analytical approaches to understand aetiology of chronic diseases in mothers and children.

Prior to joining this Unit, he completed his BSc in Life Sciences at National University of Singapore, MPhil in Epidemiology at University of Hong Kong and PhD in Lifecourse Epidemiology at University of Cambridge. Throughout his research career, he has been mainly involved in multiple pregnancy and birth cohort studies in Singapore (Growing up in Singapore towards healthy Outcomes, GUSTO), Hong Kong (Children of 1997), the UK (Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children, ALSPAC and Millennium Cohort Study) and the United Arab Emirates (The Mutaba'ah study).
