Biography
Reneé Pereyra-Elías graduated in Medicine from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas, Lima, Peru (Academic excelence award). He completed an MSc in Epidemiologic research (Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Peru) and an MSc in Social Epidemiology (University College London, UK). Reneé has a special interest in studying and reducing health inequalities. He has worked as a primary care physician in Lima and as a lecturer in the School of Medicine at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas.
His DPhil research focuses on investigating the association between breastfeeding duration and educational outcomes in children, controlling for the confounding effect of socioeconomic position.
