Paul Lokubal MBChB, MSC

Biography

Paul is a medical doctor and a public health specialist from Uganda. He holds an MBChB degree from Makerere University (Uganda) and MSc Public Health for Development from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (UK). His experience and expertise includes public health programming in reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (RMNCAH), quality improvement, health systems strengthening, and HIV/AIDS and TB. He is passionate about improving maternal and child health outcomes in developing countries. At NPEU, his research project seeks to investigate the abortion decision-making processes in low- and middle-income countries using mixed methods, with particular focus on Uganda and India. He is being supervised by Dr Manisha Nair, Professor Jenny Kurinczuk (the director NPEU), and Dr Christine Nalwadda from the Makerere University School of Public Health.
